Treds.com On Excursion

The longest trip ever taken by TREDS.

"Tred-ing Lightly in South Georgia"
(Written by Michelle Wallace, a TREDS customer)

Our model is Michelle Wallace, avid wildlife photographer, who used Treds on
her recent vacation to Antarctica. Her 16" high Treds protected her well
from sea water during beach landings, from all kinds of "dirt" and mud in
penguin colonies, and enabled wading across streams without getting wet. The
Super Grit helped maintain footing in slippery situations. Being able to
wear my hiking boots under my Treds was great. I had surer footing when I
needed water protection. I did not have to waste time changing into hiking
boots on shore; I could get right down to business observing the penguins.
On my last trip, I wore Wellies, but could not hike in them, a real downer.

On the humorous side, several penguins approached me, and pecked at my
Treds....wanted to know just what kind of penguin I was....

These pictures were taken on South Georgia, one of the world's most remote
islands, located between the South America and Antarctica. Perhaps the
longest trip ever take by Treds??
