New Shoe Size: Medium/Large

Introducing treds new size: medium/large Designed to fit shoe sizes 9-10 better

TREDS is excited to announce the addition of size M/L, which has been manufactured as a better fit for customers wearing size 9-10 leather work boots. If the Medium size has always been too tight, but the Large size too big, the new M/L size should work perfectly for you. At the same time, we have re-adjusted the suggested “fits sizes” range to better reflect current leather work boots styles in the industry.

TREDS new size, Medium/Large, is in production to meet the request of the industry and inventory is ready to ship. New, Medium/Large (M/L, sku#17856) meets the needs of workers whose leather boots are too big to fit TREDS Medium size, but too small or short for TREDS Large.

TREDS History:

Originally, TREDS was offered in only 3 sizes (M, L, XL), designed with a one inch gap, heel-to-toe, between each size. The spread between sizes proved too large to comfortably fit over the full range of worker’s shoe sizes.  A significant percentage of our users indicated the boot was either too large/sloppy or to small/tight to wear over their leather boots.

As we continue to listen to the needs of concrete contractors, we have met their demands for “split-the-difference” sizes. In 2004, TREDS introduced the boot size, Large/X-Large. This size  provided workers TREDS that were ½” longer than Large size and ½” shorter than X-Large.  Today, 31% of TREDS users purchase L/XL. Now with the major suggestions we obtained from contractors attending the World of Concrete Show, we again have developed another “split-the-difference” size to meet the needs. Approximately 2 out 10 contractors (typically those with shoe sizes 9-10) could not get the proper size fit (too tight/too sloppy), thus development of our new TREDS M/L.  Sales of the NEW M/L size should be very similar to L/XL.
